Cooking with ovens and microwaves is topic for class

Techniques and tips for cooking with ovens and microwaves will be the topic for a class coming up on April 10 at Currituck’s Center for North Carolina Cooperative Extension.
The class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. and the fee is $20. Participants will get experience in hands-on meal prepping, cooking and storage, will eat what they have cooked and will have foods to take home as well.
The final class in this series of “Kitchen Tech” cooking classes will be on May 15 when the topic will be grilling.
Registration and payment of the class fee prior to class are required. Class size is limited. Registration is available online at go.ncsu.edu/whatscookingsignup or call Currituck’’s Extension Center at 252-232-2261. Payment may be made in person at the Extension Center or send a check payable to “Currituck County” to Currituck Extension Center, 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917. Put the name of the class(es) in the memo line of the check.
