Currituck Historical Society hosts first dinner of the year

The Currituck County Historical Society hosts its dinner meeting on April 16 at Sanctuary Vineyard on US Highway 158 in Jarvisburg.

The event is the first of the society’s 350th anniversary celebrations this year.

The theme of the night will be “350 Years of Fashion.”

Currituck BBQ will cater a meal of chicken cordon bleu with three sides as well as dessert for $15. Dinner begins at 6:45 p.m. and the program at 7:30 p.m. For reservations, call Horace Bell at 455-7640, Shelia Tyler at 232-2762 or Barbara Snowden at 252-619 6991.

The society will also sponsor the laying of a wreath at the Knapp Memorial at a date to be announced date.
