Experimenting with science

INSTRUCTORS FROM Hyde County’s Mattamuskeet Early College High School, Beaufort County Early College High School and Beaufort County Community College recently brought students together to share their experiments and displays.

Experiments included crystal growth, the effects of different parts of the light spectrum on plants and determining the best soils for growing grass. The winning station allowed students to extract DNA from a strawberry.
