Outer Banks Beachcomber Museum open today before planned move
The Outer Banks Beachcomber Museum in Nags Head is open through 4 p.m. today, for the last time before the collection expands and moves to a location safe from the ocean.
On display today are Nellie Myrtle Pridgen’s treasures from a lifetime along the seashore, on what would have been her 100th birthday.
The museum is located at 4008 S Virginia Dare Trail, at what was her mother, Mattie Midgette’s, old general store. The store and adjacent home are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
