Meet-and-greet set with new dual-language teachers
The elementary school dual-language Spanish immersion teachers have arrived at Dare County schools. Parents, students and community members are invited to attend the schools for meet-and-greets with the new teachers.
Nags Head Elementary – Aug. 17 from 1-2 p.m. in the cafeteria
Cape Hatteras Elementary – Aug. 20 from 6-7 p.m. in the cafeteria
Kitty Hawk Elementary – Aug. 24 from 2-3 p.m. in the library
Manteo Elementary – Aug. 24 from 11-12 p.m. cafeteria
Dare schools have partnered with Participate, a company building education programs in North Carolina and Virginia. Participate recruits teachers from 28 different countries to build a dual language program.
Superintendent John Farrelly and Director of Innovation Johanna Parker welcomed the new teachers on Aug. 10.
