Landline phones down in part of Currituck
Landline phone service in the Gibbs Wood community of Currituck County has been interrupted.
People in the area cannot make outgoing or receive incoming calls from a landline telephone, Currituck officials reported this morning.
If there is a cell phone available, CenturyLink customers should call CenturyLink customer service (800-788-3600) to request a repair ticket.
The county said it is not a 9-1-1 line issue. If emergency services such as law, fire or EMS are needed, please call 9-1-1 or call 252-232-2216 using a cell phone.
CenturyLink is aware of this outage, but has not yet provided a timeframe for repairs.
