Kathleen Hale Parker, a lifetime resident of Currituck County, died October 15. She was born in 1925 to the late C.H. Parker and Edith Gallop. She was preceded in death by her brother Floyd Parker, nephew Gary Wayne Parker and nephew by marriage Kevin Clark Sr.

Survivors include sister-in-law JoAnn Parker Gallop and nieces and nephews.

Many will remember her as the blueberry lady on Spot Road. She was an avid reader, animal lover, expert crossword solver and caretaker for her mother.

A very informal memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20 at 3 p.m. at 249 N. Spot Road, Powells Point.
