Donis Creef Alexander, 88, of Manteo died Friday, December 14, 2018, at Peak Resources – Outer Banks in Nags Head.

A native of Wanchese, she was the daughter of the late Lora Cudworth Creef and Fred Creef.

Donis was preceded in death by husband Elwood Alexander, sons Roy Parrish and Johnny Parrish and stepdaughters Patti Alexander and Gloria Alexander. She is survived by stepsons Charles, Troy, George and Glen Alexander.

Donis loved to laugh and smile, was blessed to have a wonderful best friend and husband, Elwood “Shorty” Alexander, and was a loving mother and stepmother. She was a faithful member of Manteo Baptist Church.

A funeral was be held Tuesday, December 18. Private burial will take place at Cudworth Cemetery.
