Registration open for two wintertime events

Hatteras Village Waterfowl Festival

The First Annual Hatteras Village Waterfowl Festival runs from Friday evening, Feb. 22, all day Saturday, Jan. 23 and Sunday morning, Feb. 24. At least three different venues are planned for his event. Dinner on Friday is called Fin, Feather and Bourbon. On Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Hawk Mano Falconry will demonstrate. Local carvers and collectors will show decoys. Local pelagic border Kate Sutherland will present winter seabirds. Paint a waterfowl or take a skiff ride to see wintering waterfowl. All Saints after Dark

Classes offered Jan. 28 through March 1. “Remarkable learning opportunities taught by fascinating and richly experienced people.” All classes held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 40 Pintail Trail, Southern Shores. Telephone (252) 261-6674 to register Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Net proceeds used by All Saints Church’s outreach program.
