Lisa Carolyn Gibbs, 59, of Greenville, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

Lisa was born on December 11, 1959 in Belhaven. She was born to the late James Allen Gibbs and Carolyn Bare Gibbs of Engelhard and was the granddaughter of the late Richard Lee Gibbs Sr. and Lois Mann Gibbs of Engelhard and the late Ambrose and Daisy Lena Bare of West Jefferson.

She grew up in Engelhard and graduated from Mattamuskeet High School. After high school, she graduated from East Carolina University where she earned a degree in business administration. She was employed by NCNB Bank of Greenville and later managed Equity One Financial Corporation Office in Greenville. She was most recently employed by East Carolina University in the Anthropology Department until her early retirement due to declining health.

Survivors include sisters Candace G. Watson and husband Randy and Allison G. Harris and husband David, all of Greenville, nieces Kayla W. Manning and husband Taylor, Haley W. Foster and husband Nick, Courtney Harris and Caitlin Harris, great nieces and a great nephew.

A memorial service and celebration will be held at Amity United Methodist Church in Engelhard on Saturday, February 2 at 2 p.m. Steve Bryan will officiate.
