During WW II, military aviators including the all-black Tuskegee squadrons conducted bombing exercises and aerial combat practice over the Great Lakes. Diving With a Purpose and the National Association of Black Scuba Divers Foundation documented the submerged aircraft and the contributions of the Tuskegee Airmen.
