Blackbeard exhibit opens at Festival Park

To commemorate the 300th anniversary of Blackbeard’s adventures along the North Carolina coast, the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is showcasing a traveling exhibit at Roanoke Island Festival Park. The exhibit includes artifacts representing weaponry, nautical tools and personal items recovered from his wrecked flagship the Queen Anne’s Revenge.
The exhibit is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. The free exhibit can be viewed through May 31 in the Ticket Sales Gallery at the park. Roanoke Island Festival Park is located at 1 Festival Park, across from the waterfront in Manteo.
