Free training about communicating with deaf and hearing impaired April 3

Hatteras Island Community Emergency Response Team is presenting a program titled “How to Communicate with Deaf and Hearing Impaired Persons during an Emergency.”

The program will be presented Wednesday, April 3, at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building from 6 to 8 p.m.

The program will offer practical real-world tips and resources for first responders and supporters.
