Monica F. Collinsworth Scarborough, 54, of Buxton, died April 3, 2019, at her home.

Born in Greenville, SC on January 21, 1965, she was the daughter of Thelma Southerland and Theron Collinsworth of Bratt, FL.

A reservationist for Midgett Realty, Monica loved her work, friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by husband Kerry T. Scarborough; sons Tyler and Hayden Scarborough of Buxton; grandchild Taylor Smith; sister Lois Blakeley of Pickens, SC; and brother Keith Collinsworth (Desiree) of Milton, FL; father-in-law Raymond Scarborough of Buxton; sisters-in-law Karla Jarvis (Roger) of Hatteras, Rosa Scarborough (Cooper) of Chapel Hill and Janet Scarborough of Corapeake; brothers-in-law, Hal Scarborough (Juanita) of Avon, Mark Scarborough (Reina) of Palm Beach, FL and Dale Scarborough of Snow Hill; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Monica was preceded in death by mother-in-law Opal Scarborough and brothers-in-law Ray Scarborough Jr. and Virgil Scarborough.

A celebration of life was held April 6 at Hatteras United Methodist Church with Rev. Toni Wood and Wayne Hooper officiating.
