Sigrid C. (Chris) Cahoon

Sigrid Christa (Chris) Cahoon, 80, of Fairfield, died April 18, 2019, at her residence.

Born in Kaiserlaturn, Germany on March 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Eduard and Alicia Ottenthal Guenthert.  She was married to Ted Lewis Cahoon, who survives.  For many years she owned her own beauty salon and later worked in the hospitality industry and last was with Harris Steak and Seafood in Fairfield.

Per her request, no services are planned.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Michael Ted (Teddy) Cahoon of Columbia; a daughter, Sylvia C. Salzer of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Thomas M. Cahoon and wife, Emily, Scott Chapman, Patricia Wagner; eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by  a daughter, Julia Lenora Cahoon and a granddaughter, Katherine Cahoon.
