Fellowship of Christian Athletes to hold annual golf fundraiser

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will hold its 10th Annual FCA Golf Classic, presented by TowneBank OBX, on Thursday, May 9 at Duck Woods Country Club in Southern Shores. Check-in begins at 12 noon with a shotgun start to follow at 1 p.m.

For $400 per team, each person receives practice, golf and a cart, as well as dinner to follow, a chance for awards and prizes, a sleeve of balls, a hole in one contest for a chance to win a new vehicle provided by RD Sawyer Motor Company in Manteo, a ticket for the raffle to win stay and play prizes from all over the Outer Banks and a complementary round of golf at Duck Woods. Guests can accompany golfers to the awards dinner, starting at approximately 5:30 p.m,. for $25 per person. If you don’t have a foursome, you will be placed.

This annual event supports the coaches, athletes and overall FCA program serving Northeast North Carolina, which includes Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, funding for FCA comes solely through the gifts and investment of individuals, businesses, organizations and churches around Northeast North Carolina.
