The Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast are accepting nominations for their annual Girl Scout Famous Formers recognition. Each year, Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast honors women in the community who have distinguished themselves as outstanding role models for girls and women through individual excellence and high levels of achievement in their professional activities and volunteer efforts.

Nominees are for women currently living in southeastern Virginia or northeastern North Carolina who have distinguished themselves as outstanding role models and have demonstrated high levels of achievement in their professional activities and volunteer efforts.

For the second year, the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast are including a Future Famous Former category which highlights a young woman between the ages of 18 and 30 who exhibits these same qualities. Nominees must have been a member of Girl Scouts while growing up.
