Nora Mary Sawyer Perry, 97, of Kitty Hawk, died June 27, 2019, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. A native of Currituck County, she was born September 7, 1921 to the late Nora Mae Sawyer Etheridge and Edward Etheridge.

A homemaker, Nora was a member of the former First Baptist Church of Kitty Hawk and Ocean View Baptist Church of Kill Devil Hills.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Fred Arnold Perry and half-brother George Etheridge.

Nora is survived by daughters Judy P. Payne of Wanchese and Deborah Perry of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and half-sister Margie Etheridge of Bells Island.

A funeral was held on July 1 at Outer Banks Community Church. Private burial will take place at Austin Cemetery in Kitty Hawk.
