John Peter Figura, of Harbinger, died in Virginia Beach, Va. June 21, 2019 at the age of 72. John was from Pennsylvania originally and resided in Currituck County for many years. He worked in real estate throughout the Outer Banks, where he made many friends.

Survivors include children John P. Figura, II (Kira Arnt) of Coinjock, Rachelle Figura (Steve Bay) of Kill Devil Hills and Jennifer Kopp (Sean) of DuBois, Pa.; four grandchildren; his friend and son’s mother, Rose Figura of East Stroudsburg, Pa. and numerous other relatives and friends.

In keeping with John’s wishes, he will be cremated and the family will host a gathering in his memory at the American Legion Post 288 in Coinjock on July 13 at 9:30 a.m.
