Ashley Harris Knieper

Kill Devil Hills – Ashley Harris Knieper, 27, of Kill Devil Hills, suddenly passed at her home July 24, 2019. She was the daughter of Richard Jerome Harris and the late Kathy Nastelli. Ashley was born in Norfolk, Va.
A sweet, loving, gentle soul, Ashley wore may hats in life. Ashley was a cheerleader while attending First Colonial High School and later became a cheer coach at FAME in Point Harbor. There, she shared many victories with her students, whom she loved dearly. Most recently, Ashley was employed as assistant manager at Duck Donuts where she referred to her coworkers as her second family.
After a two-year relationship, on June 6, 2018, Ashley married her soul mate and best friend, Jacob Knieper, whom she loved with all her heart. Besides her husband, Ashley leaves behind her loving brother, Jeremy Harris of Florida, who always had her back; her sister Lacey Miller of New York; her father, Richard Jerome Harris of Kentucky; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and her “Little Bug,” Elli.
Ashley’s celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, Saturday, August 3, 2019. All family and friends are welcome to attend and share your stories and awesome memories! The officiant will be Pastor Chris Wilson.
