Mark Scott “Scottie” McDonald

Mark Scott “Scottie” McDonald, 55, of Roper died August 5, 2019 at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.

Born May 2, 1964 in Washington County he was the son of Theresa Phelps McDonald, who survives.  Scottie was a millwright and member of Roper Volunteer Fire Department for over 29 years until his retirement and lifelong member of Roper Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include his mother Theresa Phelps McDonald of Roper; daughter Carlene Joy McDonald of Roper; sisters Terry Taylor and husband Richard of Roper, Sherry Trantham and husband Alan of Clyde, Mary Ellen Davenport of Roper and Nan Ash of Clarkston, Wa.; brother Eddie McDonald and wife Tammy of Roper.

Funeral service was held August 8 at 2 p.m. at Roper Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Tommy Oliver officiating. Burial followed in Hillside Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
