The Food Bank of the Albemarle, in partnership with Colington United Methodist Church, has changed its monthly mobile food pantry visit to the parking lot of First Flight Elementary School. The new date is the second Thursday of the month – September 12 from 4:30-6 p.m.

Food will be distributed to area residents who struggle to make ends meet and are in need of emergency food assistance.  This may be senior citizens living on fixed incomes, disabled persons, any individual or family currently receiving food stamps and working families who are making tough choices between buying food and paying for other necessities.

The food from the mobile food pantry is free, but  Dare County residency is required.
