Outer Banks Red Beans & Bluegrass for the North Carolina Coastal Land Trust event Saturday

The North Carolina Coastal Land Trust is hosting Red Beans and Bluegrass, a fundraiser and promotional event, Saturday, Sept. 28 at Shipwreck’s Taphouse and Grill in Kitty Hawk.

Each year, the Coastal Land Trust hosts a similar Red Beans & Bluegrass event in Wilmington and this event is their first introduction of it to an Outer Banks audience.

Thanks to Bearded Face Productions, Appalachian-based Banjo Earth Band will perform their eclectic repertoire of bluegrass, jazz, soul and funk – all with folk-music influences.

A suggested $25 donation to attend the event grants admission, two adult beverages (choice of Weeping Radish beer, Sanctuary Vineyards wine or Kill Devil Rum cocktails), dinner at the chili/chowder bar (featuring Shipwreck’s award-winning chili and shrimp-corn chowder) and an introductory membership to the North Carolina Coastal Land Trust.

This rain or shine event takes place from 3-7 p.m. at Shipwreck’s, 4020 N. Croatan Highway in Kitty Hawk. For those unable to make the event who would still like to support the Coastal Land Trust, visit www.coastallandtrust.org/obx-redbeans/.
