Six puppies were found in an abandoned home in Hertford County on Friday. After being rescued, the little ones were transferred to the Outer Banks SPCA in Manteo.
Sources say the mother of the four-week-old puppies was feral and they were left alone in the house.
After an adorable Facebook post by Outer Banks SPCA staff Monday morning, all six puppies were taken to new homes within the following five hours. Staff said puppies go really quickly at their facility and they have worked with Hertford County in the past, so they were ready and willing to get the babies to their new homes.
