Robert Wayne Gray, 66, of Avon, died September 19, 2019.

He was a graduate of Elizabeth City University and a retiree of Britthaven, Nags Head. Robert was the son of Jarvis Elene Gray and is survived by brothers Tommy, Morris and Mark and their wives Kathey, Alice and Denise and four nephews.

A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Methodist Church in Avon on October 11 at 11 a.m. Pastor Gina Miller will officiate, Tillman Gray will give the eulogy. A reception will follow. No flowers please. Instead, make a donation to the St. John’s Methodist Church at PO Box 129 Avon, North Carolina 27915.
