Copper Orville Wright bust stolen, granite base damaged at Wright Brothers National Memorial

The copper reproduction bust of Orville Wright, located at the foot of the Wright Brothers Monument in Kill Devil Hills, has been stolen and the heavy granite base that the bust was mounted to was toppled over and damaged.

According to the National Park Service, the theft and vandalism occurred Saturday night, October 12, or early Sunday morning, October 13.
