Northern beaches Angel Gift Program details announced

Published 8:15 am Saturday, November 2, 2019

The Outer Banks Woman’s Club is seeking sponsors and donors for their Angel Gift Program, now in its 32nd year. The continued success of the program would not be possible without the support and funding provided by businesses, organizations and individuals. The club partners in a collaborative effort with the Dare County Department of Health and Human Services, whose role is the screening of applicants.

Residents interested in applying for assistance through the Angel Gift Program need to apply in person at the Dare County Department of Health and Human Services, Social Services Division, Manteo Campus. Applications will be taken through November 8.

Families eligible for Angel Gift Program who live north of the Oregon Inlet must be below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (more information is available at http://tiny.cc/r3vuey), however unique situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, applicants must provide proof of income and a completed application. Due to increased participation, priority will be given to eligible families who were not assisted last year. Additional families will be included, as funds permit, on a first come, first-served basis.
