Mason Smith, director of civic club relations for the Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, traveled to the Outer Banks for a luncheon at Rooster’s with members of the Outer Banks Woman’s Club.

The purpose for his visit was to collect over 75 suitcases, backpacks and bags that the Outer Banks Woman’s Club had been collecting since March for children in foster care who often have to carry their belongings in black trash bags and, if their belongings will not fit, have to leave some things behind.
