Robin Dale Midgette, 64, of Frisco, died November 21, 2019, at Vidant Medical Center.

Born in Norfolk, Va. on August 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Marjorie Austin Midgette Banks and John Riggs Midgette and stepfather, Robert Banks of Norfolk, Va.

Robin was a skilled carpenter and cabinet maker. Most importantly he was a wonderful and dedicated husband and father.

Robin is survived by wife Frances “Jeanie” Midgette; children Jeana Sanchez (Jon) of Houston, Texas and Robbin Midgette (Scott Clark) of Frisco; grandson Gage Clark of New Jersey; sister Jennifer Novak of San Antonio, Texas; brothers Steve Midgette (Laurie) of Chester Springs, Pa. and Gary Midgette (Catherine) of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother-in-law, Jim Simmons of Frisco; sister-in-law, Alice Dickens of Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces; nephews and extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Howard, Johnny and Michael Midgette, all of Norfolk, Va.; uncles Monford Austin (Helen) of Hatteras and Barney Austin (Jenny) of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandparents Joshua D. Austin, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Willis, Augustus Thompson Midgette and Bettie Tolson Midgette, all of Buxton.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation in honor of Robin Midgette (PO Box 442, Hatteras, NC 27943).
