MHS varsity team wins Thursday night home basketball game

The Manteo High School varsity basketball team beat Hatteras during their Thursday night game, Dec. 5. The final score was 51 to 41.
Redskins senior guard Darren Saunders was the leading scorer with 16 total points. Close behind Saunders was MHS senior James Gilreath. Gilreath is a center and scored 13 points during the game.
The next junior varsity and varsity game for MHS is scheduled for Dec. 10 against Currituck County. The game will take place at Currituck County High School at 7:30 p.m.
