SATURDAY, Dec. 14

Dare CASA’s Breakfast with Santa at Sugar Creek Restaurant. 8:30 to 11 a.m. Take pictures with Santa and enjoy a breakfast buffet.

Super Saturday Breakfast with Santa and Craft Show. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Outer Banks YMCA. Free for members, $5 per family for nonmembers. Snap a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus, then enjoy breakfast while browsing the craft show for holiday gifts. Accepting gift donations for Children and Youth and foster children in need.

Cape Hatteras Winter Lighthouse Climb. 9 to noon. Free. Volunteers from the Outer Banks Lighthouse Society and Cape Hatteras National Seashore park rangers will greet climbers.

Fairfield Christmas Parade. 10 a.m. Parade lineup starts at 9:30 a.m. Bring horses, combines, tractors, floats or any other vehicle from which candy can be tossed. Christmas in the Quarter at Swan Quarter Courthouse. 4 p.m. parade lineup at bus garage. 5 p.m. parade around courthouse. Best viewing points are courthouse grounds, in front of Mattie Arts, Ryan’s Garage and the county parking lot. After parade: bounce house fun, Santa writing station, reindeer food, s’mores and music by Tommy Hutcherson. At firehouse, hot dogs and drink/hot chocolate at 5 p.m. Funnel cakes benefit bell project. Vendors inside fire department. Prizes for best decorated float and best ugliest Christmas sweater.

Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town (Hall). 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Kill Devil Hills Town Hall, 102 Town Hall Drive, Kill Devil Hills. Pictures with Santa, goodie bags, sleigh rides, Christmas lights, cookies, hot chocolate, apple cider, and other holiday treats, festive tunes, lots of spirit and a jolly good time.

SUNDAY, Dec. 15

Candy Bomber Returns to Dare County Airport for the 20th Annual Candy Drop. 1 to 2 p.m. at Dare County Airport. There will be two candy drops on Sunday, December 15; ages 6 and younger at 1 p.m. and ages 7 and older at 1:30 p.m. At 2 p.m., Santa will arrive at the Dare County Airport and will be available for photos. The Spirit of Freedom will be on display and available for touring until 5 p.m. This is a free family-friendly event. For more information, call the Dare County Airport at 252-475-5570.
