First Flight swimmers continue winning ways

First Flight swimmers placed two swimmers in the top three spots in most events on the way to dominating both boys and girls seven-team meets on Friday in Elizabeth City. Placing at least one swimmer in the top three of every event, the Nighthawks also won all six relay events at the meet.

The Nighthawks were led by double first place winners Bri Wilson, who won the 200 free (in a state meet qualifying time) and the 100 butterfly; Payton Savage in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke; and Tyler Anderson in the 200 and 400 freestyle.

Other top finishers included Maura Trivette with a first in the 200 IM and second in the 200 free; Erin Bembridge who won the 50 free; Ben Tonnesen with second place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly; Emmy Trivette with a first in the 400; and Brodie Nash with second place finishes in the 50 free and 100 breaststroke.
