SUNDAY, Dec. 15

Candy Bomber Returns to Dare County Airport for the 20th Annual Candy Drop. 1 to 2 p.m. at Dare County Airport. There will be two candy drops on Sunday, December 15; ages 6 and younger at 1 p.m. and ages 7 and older at 1:30 p.m. At 2 p.m., Santa will arrive at the Dare County Airport and will be available for photos. A World War II Radio Christmas. 2 p.m. at Roanoke Island Festival Park. This moving holiday show recreates the experience of attending a recording of a 1940s radio show broadcast on Christmas Eve during World War II. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for students.

Winter Lights at Elizabethan Gardens. 6 to 9 p.m. Adults $11, Youth (ages 6-17) $9, Children (5 and under) $6. Last tickets sold at 8:15 p.m.

116th Anniversary of the Wright Brothers’ First Flight. 9 to 5 p.m. outside the Wright Brothers National Memorial Visitor Center.
