Food for Thought received an $800 donation from Outer Banks Fraternal Order of Eagles 4506, Eagle Riders Club to continue its mission to provide weekend meals to school-aged children in Dare County.

Bobbie Murray, president of Food for Thought, says, “A huge thank-you to the local Eagles club for naming us for their recent fundraiser. There are a number of homeless families in Dare County and as winter arrives, we are also providing outerwear and socks for students from Hatteras to Kitty Hawk. Thank you, Riders Club.”

The local FOE chapter held a fall fishing tournament to raise the funds and presented the check to a Food for Thought board member on November 20.
