Lula Mae Murphy Scarborough, 74, of Manteo, died December 16, 2019 at The Outer Banks Hospital.

Born in Fort Mitchell, Alabama on July 15, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Annie Mae Miller Murphy and Henry Murphy.

Lula is survived by children Betty Scarborough Etheridge and Londo James Scarborough; grandchildren Sierra Scarborough, Anthony Etheridge Jr. and Nickolas Scarborough; great-grandchild Shìa Bowser; and brother Willie Murphy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter Tiffany Etheridge.

A graveside funeral will be held at 1 p.m. December 21 at Free Grace Church of Christ Cemetery, 1056 Burnside Road in Manteo.
