In this flu season, deaths attributed to flu have reached 33 in North Carolina.

In the week ending Jan. 11, 11 adult flu-associated deaths were reported in the state.

Overall, 21 of the 33 deceased people were 65 years or older.

No flu deaths have been reported in Dare County.
