Phillip Eugene Brown Sr. died January 26, 2020 in the peace and comfort of his Colington home. Phil was 78. He was born in West Virginia and in his youth, worked in the mining industry.

Survivors include wife Carolyn Brown of the residence; son Phillip E. Brown Jr. of Greenville; daughter Felicia A. Courson (Grady) of Kitty Hawk; granddaughter Lily; and close friend and caregiver Rhonda Runkles (Bryant) also of Colington.
