The Outer Banks Hospital accepting letters of interest for grant program

The Outer Banks Hospital Development Council is accepting letters of interest for the Community Benefit Grants Program for projects that increase access to healthcare in the areas of healthy living/chronic disease prevention and management; access to care/social determinants of health/transportation; older adults, specifically focused on dementia and Alzheimer’s; and substance abuse/mental health.

Letters of interest are due on or before Thursday, February 20 at 5 p.m. through electronic submission. To submit a letter of interest on behalf of your organization, visit www.vidanthealth.com/communitybenefit. Only letters submitted through this online process will be accepted. Be sure that you are linking to The Outer Banks Hospital’s grant program when you submit your letter of interest.

Grants will be awarded as part of the 2020-21 Community Benefit Grants Program. The grant cycle is July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. Funding is available for government entities or nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status in Dare County, in Currituck County and on Ocracoke Island. In 2019, $135,000 was awarded to ten area nonprofits and agencies.
