- At Cape Hatteras Secondary’s 2020 Homecoming, the Royal Court was selected by student vote. Named King and Queen, center, are Dylan Gray and Hailey Quidley; Prince and Princess, left, Hobson Freye and Chloe Flythe; and Duke and Duchess, right, José Cirisa and Lexus Meekins. At Cape Hatteras Secondary, 2020 Homecoming was held Monday, Feb. 10 after a basketball game between Cape Hatteras and Bear Grass Charter.
For the Homecoming Court, 10 couples were chosen by classmates and then the student body votes for three Royal couples.
Representing the Class of 2020 were Dylan Gray, Claire Williams, John Contestable, Lexus Meekins, Justin Chandler, Peyton Mugford, José Cirisa and Sophie Waterfield.
Representing the Class of 2021 were Chaz Mackenzie, Rubie Shoemaker, Austin Hooper, Hailey Quidley, Charlie Conner and Eliza Quidley.
The Class of 2022 was represented by Hobson Freye, Clara Oden, Daymon Stump and Catherine Rebollo.
For the Class of 2023, Garland Midgette and Chloe Flythe represented the class.
Returning for the ceremony were 2019 King Teddy Harmon and Queen Jillian Webster.
