Dorothy Dale Payne, 79, of Stumpy Point, died March 15, 2020.

A native of Stumpy Point, she was born May 15, 1940, to the late Edith Chambers Payne and Benjamin L. Payne.

Strong in her faith, Dale was well-loved and loved well. She enjoyed reading the Bible, crocheting, ministering to others and spending time with family and friends. She loved her pastor, Edwin Basnight and showed the world, although small in stature, nothing could hold her back from showing the true strength of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister Diane Boseman.

Dale is survived by her nephews, a cousin and friends.

Plans for a memorial service are pending at this time.
