Stanley Scott Nielsen, 63, of Elizabeth City, died March 21, 2020 at Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Va. after a long battle with advanced heart failure.  A native of Orlando, Fla., he was born October 26, 1956 to the late Sam Nielsen and Jan McLaren Nielsen and was the husband of Janet Stone-Nielsen. He served his country honorably in the U. S. Coast Guard and later as a government contractor.

In addition to Janet, his wife of 22 years, he is survived by daughters Melissa Stone and Amanda O’Fallon; grandchildren Mason O’Fallon and Piper O’Fallon; sister Rhonda Westrum; and brothers Steve Nielsen, Sean Nielsen and Spencer Nielsen.
