Monday night fire engulfs unoccupied house in Kill Devil Hills

Crews from the Kill Devil Hills, Colington and Kitty Hawk Fire Departments responded to a fully involved house fire in the 500 block of Indian Drive in Kill Devil Hills Monday night, April 13 just after 11 p.m.

The fire was extinguished after extensive damage was done to the first and second floors of the structure.

A press release from the Kill Devil Hills Fire Department stated that the house was unoccupied and there were no reported injuries.

The Kill Devil Hills Police Department and Dare County EMS were on scene to assist. Fire Marshal John Risoldi is investigating to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
