Eric Arthur Chaplin, 47, died of natural causes at his Moyock residence June 2, 2020. Eric was born in Rhode Island. He was predeceased by mother Rebecca Chaplin and his brother Kenneth Chaplin Jr.

Survivors include father Kenneth Chaplin Sr.; sisters Bessie Zurface (Robert) and Alice Barefoot, all of Moyock; seven nieces and nephews; companion Connie Sessler of the residence and many other relatives and friends.

The family will hold a celebration of Eric’s life June 9 at Ralph’s on the Point (behind Currituck Sports) at 6 p.m. Parking is available on the right side of the parking lot. Masks are optional at this outdoor gathering and friends are invited to bring a dish.
