Howard Davis, 77, of Grandy, died unexpectedly of natural causes at home on July 7, 2020.

Howard was born April 14, 1943 in Portsmouth, Va. He served eight years in the United States Navy and retired from Albemarle Hospital as a clinical engineer. He was an elder at Grandy Community Church.

Howard is survived by wife Genny Davis; daughter Liz Davis; grandchildren, Andrew Boca (Caroline), Samantha Schember (Ray), Jonathon Schember, and Christopher Schember; five great-grandchildren, with one on the way; brothers Denis Davis (Jessica) and Brian Davis (Dana); and stepmother Rose Davis.

He was preceded in death by parents Ray Davis and Patricia DeShone Davis; sister Ellen Lewis; and brother Gary Davis.

Howard’s wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. on July 12 at Grandy Community Church.
