Mitchell Waterfield died peacefully July 13, 2020 at home in Powells Point after a long battle with cancer. Mitch was born September 19, 1967 to Mary and the late Kenny Waterfield.

Mitch worked in commercial fishing, landscaping, construction and salvage. Mitch is survived by mother Mary; brother Ken; sisters Kim, Mary Kay and Karen; and nieces and a nephew.

A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on July 17 at the Powells Point Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ronnie Wyatt will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mitch’s name may be made to Powells Point Baptist Church or Albemarle Home Health and Hospice.
