Deborah Ann Mattie

Deborah Ann Baumgardner Mattie, 66, of Moyock, died July 11, 2020. Born in Belmond, Iowa on May 24, 1954 to the late James Jerome Baumgardner and Phyllis June Kriens Baumgardner, she was the widow of William Mattie.  Ms. Mattie was a self-employed dog groomer.

She is survived by daughters Carmen Rockhill (Ryan) of Broomfield, Colo. and Crystal Schaeffer (David) of Elizabeth City; son Dillon McKown of Williamsburg, Va.; sister Vivian McKown of Elizabeth City; brother Michael Baumgardner of Virginia Beach, Va.; and grandchildren Kyle Rockhill, Anya Rockhill, Olivia Schaeffer and Jeremiah McKown.

A memorial service was held July 17, 2020 at Twiford Memorial Chapel, officiated by Minister Kevin Reiver. Twiford Funeral Home, Elizabeth City is serving the family. Condolences may be sent to www.TwifordFH.com.
