Gloria Cohoon

Gloria H. Cohoon, 80, of Grandy, died of natural causes July 18, 2020 in Elizabeth City. She was predeceased by parents Walter and Minnie Hill, husband Irving Cohoon Sr. and brother Roger Hill.

Gloria was born in Portsmouth, Va. but spent her childhood in Currituck County.

Surviving family members include son Irving Cohoon Jr. of Grandy; daughter Angela Cohoon (Daryl Kight) of Grandy; granddaughter Alexandra Bogart (Nicholas) of Charleston, SC; one great-grandson; sister Glenda Owens of Grandy and brother James Hill of Fairfield, Calif.

The family will honor Gloria’s wishes to be cremated and plans for a private memorial service are pending. In lieu of flowers, please remember Gloria with a donation to a worthy diabetes charity of your choice.
