Robert Edward Epperly, 78, of South Mills, died July 24, 2020 at his home.  He was born in Burlington on November 1, 1941 to the late Clarence Edward Epperly and Mildred Louise White Epperly and was the husband of Charlotte Ann Parsons Epperly of the home. He was a shipbuilding project manager and past master of the Yorktown Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Valerie Epperly (Patrick) of Gloucester, Va., and Lori A. Hogge of Gloucester, Va.; son John M. Murray Jr. (Jessica) of Oviedo, Fla.; sister Barbara Davis (Chuck) of Denham Springs, La.; brother Danny Epperly (Brenda) of Yorktown, Va.; grandchildren Mason Howard, Kobe Murray, Samantha Murray and Lucas Murray; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by son Brian Epperly.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on July 31 at South Mills Church of Christ, 100 Culpepper Rd. in South Mills. Twiford Funeral Home, Elizabeth City is serving the Epperly family. Express at www.TwifordFH.com.
