Mildred Spruill Swain

Mildred Spruill Swain, 89, of Elizabeth City, died August 1, 2020 at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Roper on January 5, 1931 to the late Arthur Spruill and Pearl Craddock Spruill, she was the widow of Wilmer “Bill” Swain. A cosmetologist by trade, she worked at Overman & Stevenson Pharmacy for many years before retiring.

She is survived by daughters Sharon Swain Long and Sylvia Swain Meads, both of Elizabeth City, and son Robert Swain of Shiloh.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Twiford Funeral Home, Elizabeth City is serving the family. Condolences may be sent to www.TwifordFH.com.
