No storm debris to be collected in unincorporated Dare

Dare County issued a press release stating that, due to minimal damage in unincorporated Dare by Isaias, the county will not be collecting storm debris.

These areas include Colington Harbor (inside and outside the gate), Manteo (outside town limits), Wanchese, Skyco, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Manns Harbor, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras.

Residents may bring any vegetative debris to following sites:

– Buxton Transfer Station, 47027 NC Highway 12 in Buxton, which is open for residential haulers Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The Buxton station is open for commercial haulers Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. No commercial dumping on Saturday.

– Manteo Recycle Center, 1018 Driftwood Dr. in Manteo (pick-up trucks and single axle trailers only). The center is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon.

– Dare County C&D Landfill, 1603 Cub Road in Manns Harbor, which is open for residential and commercial haulers Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
